- Answer It’s an antenna. So it’s picking up radio waves. It’ll work but the more things between you and the broadcast tower the worse the signal gets. If it’s really wooded and lots of hills might want to look in to one that mounts on the outside of the house.

QuestionI purchased an RCA amplified antenna and the coaxial twist o from the antenna does not fit the connecter on my ty. Aren't these universal? Why doesn't the coaxial connect to the tv?

QuestionDoes this indoor antenna allow one to watch local tv if the cable service goes out?

- Answer Yes I have only the internet and no cable tv. But you might want to have someone help to hold it as high against a wall and run the channel scan a few times this will change the amount of channels you get If you do not have someone to help I used boxes stacked because I did not want to screw it into the wall. I have a high small metal shelf above my tv it lays on it. No holes. But remember once you find the place you want do not move it may change the amount of channels you get also you may want to do this later a night It comes in better. You may have a few fading out during the day for a second. The Mohu I flat on a wall used tape 1st to find the right location the did not use the push pin they gave I bought flat gray ones at a store.

- Answer I believe the little black metal thing is a stand that screws into the back of the antenna. That's if you want to just prop it up on your TV stand. The screws and drywall plugs are for mounting it on the wall if you wanted. I just used those removable Command strips to mount mine on the wall behind the TV.

- Answer That sounds like something to do with a feature on your TV. An antenna can't cause that. I mean the worst an antenna can do is just not be good enough to pull in a station.

- Answer On the back of your TV there is a male plug outlet. Hook your antenna to that and plug in the electric plug to the wall socket. Switch your TV source to TV and a screen will pop up to get the stations available in your area. You can choose between auto and manual. It is your choice.
