A:AnswerNot that I'm aware of. I've had cats for 50 yrs and have never seen hair floating in the air. It tends to stick where they lay... mostly on the floor or on fabric. This purifier does really well with dust and allergens such has mold, algae and mildew.

A:AnswerUV light is harmful to skin when there is direct exposure. However, if the uv bulb is inside a plastic casing, the light does not shine outward so there is no direct exposure. This is an air purifier with a uv light mounted inside it so you should be okay.
