A:AnswerI have 3 dogs and a 1000 sf house. All hard wood floors. It has made a huge difference in our quality of air and I actually have a lot less dust. I use it in our living room about 12' x 24' space. I'm looking at buying a second unit for the hall outside the bedrooms. Noise is not to bad on medium. High it is quite loud and low is ver quiet. I'm not sur about the smell. Our home seems to smell ok but not having carpet could be difference. I do run it non stop on medium. We never shut it off.
