I figured out a resolution for this I had to remove the Dragon software that you can install on the laptop and now my wired LAN speeds are the same as all other machines I have if not slightly faster. I think Gigabyte needs to look into this. I also suspect that this may have negatively impacted my battery life which I am trying to improve now.
