“If I chose not to subscribe to the Nest video recording/saving, do I still receive alerts on my phone when there is movement and/or noise? Or do I have to be literally watching the live feed? I plan to use this as a baby monitor. Thanks!”

Hello, you'll still receive notifications regardless of subscription. It's a setting you have to check on the app.

You always get alerts regardless......its how you set it up that determines that. The difference is it will only save three hours of recording if you choose not to become a Nest member.

I believe it will give you an alert and snapshot but no video after 30 day free trial. And ibelieve only 1 alert every 30min no matter how much activity
