No PC is required for setup or use. It is very easy to set up and you do it on your IOS or Android phone through their NEST app.

Some functions can only be done on a PC or Mac, but you can set these cameras up just with a mobile device and get them working fairly completely. I don't know why Nest still limits the mobile functionality. It is pretty lame to do that in this day and age.
