“Live” does have a tiny delay, I would say less than 1/4 of a second. I pay for the 5 day recording plan and the “live” is exactly the same while paying for recording or not. Also, Watching the camera live (even zooming in or anything like that) doesn’t effect the recording at all. Hope that answers your question.

Please try again later.As far as I know everything is recorded, now can go back through and delete the recordings........however for those paranoid among us........I hear the fact the initial recording was and is on the Nest servers in a remote location.......A person has to assume and trust that they are being truthful about deleting and I'm not saying anything bad about Nest......but we all know that with computers.....once it's there, it's there.........Was one thing I did not like about this system but oh well........
