The unit goes inactive when I’m in another room or gone. I can house set for 77 and come home to a house over 81. Then it says X amount of hours till I reach my 77. How can I change this?? If I set a temp that is what I want to maintain. null

I think you can turn off the ‘away’ feature and then the temp would stay at the setting you program.

The Nest Thermostat has a Soli radar (a small device that understands human motions at various scales) as a local occupancy sensor in the product. The Soli radar helps you to save energy while the home is unoccupied (configurable in Home/Away Routines), and extend battery life by turning on the screen only when needed (Wake on Approach)
