QuestionDoes the device record a maximum of 3 hours for free or does the device only save the footage for up to 3 hours? If the later is true would seem less useful while sleeping for 8 hours.

- Answer Nest Doorbell (battery) come with 3 hours of event video history. 24/7 video history is not available for the Nest Doorbell (battery), even with optional wired installation. QuestionMy existing doorbell chime (electric) says "must install diode" on the back, and there is a 1N4001 diode installed in my existing doorbell button. Do I need to use the diode in my installation of the Nest Doorbell if I'm hard wiring it to my chime?

QuestionDoes it come with a nest mini or hub $180 is ridiculous for a doorbell camera i have to remove every so often to charge, i would hope it at least has the nest mini

- Answer It does not come with a nest mini or hub, but it is set up to be wired using a doorbell transformer so you don't have to remove it to charge.

- Answer Thanks for asking. To remove the Nest Doorbell (battery), use the release tool included in the box. If you don't have the tool, you can use a flathead screwdriver. Insert the tool or screwdriver into the hole at the top of the doorbell, then pull the doorbell up and away from the wall. - Answer Sounds like your WiFi Signal strength is in question. I use a mesh system to ensure complete WiFi signal coverage. It could also be a bandwidth issue.

- Answer Use the included pin or a paper clip and press the reset button and hold it. After the light turns yellow continue holding it until it resets again. Repeat add device in the Google home app. If it still doesn’t connect you may have an unsupported WiFi security protocol.

- Answer Can be used for both, but mainly used as a doorbell for outdoor use. It is weather resistant, but if it’s too cold it does affect the battery version by dying quicker.
