• No you can't, for that you need the Amazon fire tv or stick

• The only way at this point is to be watching Amazon Video on another device like your phone, tablet, or PC and then Cast using the chromecast feature to cast the screen of your device onto the tv that is connected to the nexus player. I do this all the time and it works well except sometimes there is a voice delay.

• I do NOT see Amazon Prime Instant Video in the Google App store for the Nexus Player. So, I'm pretty sure the answer is no.

• I can't get it to do so right now. I was able to "sideload" the Amazon Video app but it fails after login and attempting to watch anything.

• No, the device cannot stream from Amazon Prime Instant Video, as Amazon has not released a version of the app that is compatible with Android TV, nor does it seem that Amazon will do so in the near future.

• Just bought this product and can confirm that it does not. The only way to watch Amazon is through sideloading, but it appears that Amazon caught on and started restricting access.
