After that, turn on the new phone and transfer all of the content from your old phone … Google made this process easier than ever.

• A:Answer In the settings that I have it lists three options. Under Verizon its using global which is cdma and GSM but it also has options to do just one or the other. Never seen that in settings before on any other phone. I believe it just depends on what carrier you're through. I know ATT is GSM where I am if its not unlocked. If you pay the 1 time payment you could use either and any carrier it seems. Hope that helps.

• A:Answer You have either option. The payment plan is where you get your savings and once you're in, you can pay it off through Verizon after, if you don't like having the payments. They will dock the savings from your remaining balance.

Q: QuestionSo I have had the original Pixel the last couple years and love it. However after newest system update to Android PIE, have had significantly shorter battery life, errors forcing me to close out of appts, etc. Is the newest pixel more compatible?

• A:Answer I have the Pixel 3 right now and love much about it. Photos and camera are amazing. The video recording sound quality is not as terrible as people say online. It is very fast. Although, I have to say my experience with all the newest updates for a straight week have been very very buggy. Everyday something buggy happens, from Google Assistant not working right, dark themes not sticking and going back to white, sound crackling from the speakers, green flickers on the display that have now gone away for some reason, and battery life has pretty much sucked compared to other phones I have had on android. I am getting only about 3 hrs 47 min of on screen time. Even right now, after getting up and only moderately using my phone, no gaming, it is at 68% after about 3 hrs and 50 min since I took it off the charger. Screen on time is at 1 hr. To lose 32% battery with 1 hr screen on time, that is very poor.

• A:Answer From what i understand, the true unlocked phone has to be purchased from google shop directly. Then you can to go to carrier of your choice, you just need their sim card. There are update downloads you'll need to do yourself. But if you start with Verizon service, they can do all the updates for you in their store. I'm trying to make same choice, but i prefer T- mobile & hate verizon (their plans are pretty high for a single account). May buy unlocked phone & see if i can start month to month w/ verizon then switch carriers.

• A:Answer Yes, its an unlocked phone and it covers 180 countries. If you purchase it, you can activate in online through Google Fi but i think you must wait for them to send you a sim card, or now they are selling them for 10 dollars at certain stores like Best Buy.

• A:Answer No you will not, it's supposed to be carrier unlocked by default and Verizon did shady activity to make it carrier locked. No fees will apply. I have an unlocked version on Verizon

• A:Answer Super easy. Just take your DL to Best Buy mobile counter.. tell them what you would like. And normally within 30 min you are done. We only go to Best Buy because they normally have incentives like gift cards etc. It is super easy.
