QuestionWe are using Verizon on our cell phone and according to Verizon, Message + and phone calls will go through WIFI. Since the single strength is one bar or less on our phone will this help improve our cell phone reception and messaging.

- Answer I have Verizon as well. From my understanding, it will not boost your cell phone reception, but if you log in to wifi on your phone, your messages will come through even when you are in a dead zone. The message plus app works over wifi. I know this to be true because I have used my phone out of the country on wifi only and was able to still text using the message plus app.

- Answer This product will provide a wide/strong wifi signal inside your home 'behind' the internet modem. Your internet speed over wifi is still limited by the internet speed contracted/delivered by your provider (Hughes).

QuestionI have Verizon FIOS and need to keep my current router in order to get FIOS TV. Can this be used with the FIOS router to expand the wifi signal to low signal spots in the house? If so, is there any setup directions on how to accomplish this?

- Answer Absolutely, this is how mine is set up. Just wire from the Fios LAN port to the google internet port with the included CAT5 cable and follow the setup direction on the app. Easy, easy set up. The app walks you through everything.

QuestionCan i connect 5 mesh routers in one network to cover more square foot ? (i see only upto 3 routers in the package... so not sure if more routers can be used) If yes, would this impact performance/speed of internet?

- Answer You can add more WiFi points as needed. This shouldn’t decrease the WiFi speeds, only expand the coverage area.

- Answer Yes, this does mesh with the Google OnHub. I own both, and while right now I have the Google Wifi as the primary, I briefly had the OnHub as the primary (before resetting both) and everything worked fine.

- Answer You will need to download the Google Wifi app to set up wifi. At the bottom of the set up card instructions it has contact info...web address and phone number. I called the number for help with installation and got outstanding customer service...no long waits, and rep stayed on the line until I was set up and satisfied. Also provided helpful hints, like not using the same router name as past router.

- Answer YES! Fios brought me their new "better" router and suddenly I didn't have internet through my whole house anymore. After A LOT of web research, I bought the Google Wifi system....it works EXACTLY as advertised! Super-easy setup, strong wifi signal, easy pairing. This is absolutely the best residential wifi system out there now. It will help with your WIFI speed - but it won't do anything if the speed coming into your house is slow - that's a different issue.

QuestionCan I use one of these to hook up a network printer so it can be wireless? I have a HP Laser printer and would like to move it away from the living room as I have it currently connected to the router. Would like to set it up in the home office downstairs

- Answer Yes, you can. We did the same thing. By adding the system, I was able to use our HP printer at a location very far from the main router. The wifi throughout the home is now just as strong as standing directly by the actual router (cable modem).

QuestionI have a Nighthawk 1900 w/DST adapter currently hardwired into a device in attic. Will google WiFi be compatible w/ DST adapter so don't have to mess with that? Also need to have WiFi to Ring spotlight videocam front of garage. Will WiFi reach driveway?

- Answer With the Google WiFi App, click on Setup (the icon in the upper right. Under Shortcuts, look for 'Show password'. Voila, there it is. - Answer I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. Here's my setup: DSL Modem/Router from Frontier is supplied internet signal from phone line. My main Google Wi-Fi device is hard wired to my modem/router. Everything in my home now connects wireless to the Google Wi-Fi device. You might as well simply look at the Google device as a router, as that is the function it is performing. It's actually all very simple. After I did my installation of three devices, I went into the setup of my Frontier Modem and turned off the wireless signal. I did not want the two systems possibly "butting heads" in my home. The Google device is "dual band" and utilizes 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands. The range on the 5ghz is not as far, but there is minimal congestion as most devices connecting in your home are probably using the popular 2.4ghz band to do so. Hope this helps.
