• A:Answer I just did 1200 lbs of tree limbs (two pickup beds full) and haven’t sharpened the blade yet. I will before next use but performance has not degraded yet. Get a chainsaw file, you should be able to sharpen multiple times before having to replace a chain

Q: QuestionIs this motor a second-generation model featuring a 2.5 kW motor? And does Model # CS80L03 also have the second-generation model featuring a 2.5 kW motor? Thank you kindly.

• A:Answer Hello Roger - These are the same unit. The only difference is model 2019902 includes a 4.0Ah battery and rapid charger and model CS80L03 is a tool only kit. Tool only units are great for our existing customers who already own a battery and charger in this platform and are looking to expand their collection. For customers who are purchasing a Greenworks unit for the first time, we advise picking up the unit that comes with a battery and a charger. This unit is a 2nd generation with a 2.5 kW motor which is equivalent to a 40cc gas chainsaw motor.

Q: QuestionExplain what 270 cuts means, in some form of measurement like thickness of wood cut or operational cutting time is that in pine or a hardwood. Also what does a replacement batter cost.

• A:Answer Hi JOHN. Thank you for your question. Yes. Each voltage platform (24V/48V, 40V, 60V, 80V, and 82V) has a dedicated set of tools that are only interchangeable within the same voltage range. For example, an 80V 2.0Ah battery will work in any 80V unit but is not compatible with 24V/48V, 40V, 60V, or 82V units. Only Greenworks batteries, chargers, and machines of the same voltage are compatible and interchangeable. We hope this helped!

• A:Answer There are 2 separate 80 volt 18" chainsaw models. Different motor sizes. Don't know why the Greenworks representative didn't explain that, not very nice. It's confusing, maybe on purpose, because while shopping around the descriptions aren't clear and even digging into the specs doesn't always reveal the true identity. In my painful experience and unnecessary wasting of my time, I've noticed there is a model with a 1.8 kW motor, and there's a model with a 2.5 kW motor that's also referred to as 2nd gen. If it looks like a real bargain, it's probably the 1.8 kW model.
