- Answer Hi DrivewayObstacle. You can designate the area as a 'no mow zone' by setting the boundary wires around the area you wish to leave untouched. QuestionWould it be able to cross a driveway to get to another portion of lawn

- Answer Hi there.The mower will only operate within the mapped out route guided by the boundary wires. When installing the boundary wire against an even surface, such as a sidewalk or driveway, us the 4"/10cm line of the ruler provided. This will allow the mower to drive past the wire even further, using the hard even surface as part of the transition area and will take care of the trimming. Question1) If I have a large dirt patch within the boundary can I designate it as a no-go zone where it will not mow, but steer around it? 2) If it has to recharge before finishing with it return to complete the job after it has fully recharged?

QuestionI have a fenced yard about 7500 square feet. Would I need anything to stop it from hitting the fence or would it just bounce off and keep cutting.

- Answer Hello Zano - Programmable scheduling gives you complete control over your lawn's maintenance! There is a sensor built into the mower that will detect the boundary wire. The boundary wire can either be bury underground or lay it on the ground and eventually the grass will grow overtop the wire.

- Answer This is not correct. I don’t know exactly how many feet but it’s wayyyyyy more than that. We have a large back yard and front yard. We have plenty left over. They gave us a ton.

QuestionWhat is the part number of the GPS card? My GPS card has failed, which I was told by Greenworks support is common. Greenworks support told me they know of no repairmen who work on these and I should try to change it myself.

QuestionThe only connection between my back and front yards is a concrete walk with 2 feet of dirt on the outside where I could run wires. Would that allow the mower to transition between the areas? Can it run over concrete if needed?

- Answer Hello AV695 - For fixed obstacles level with lawn that the mower can traverse (paving stone paths or similar). Lay the boundary wire under the paving stones or in the joint between the paving stones. Never run the mower over gravel, mulch, or similar material that can damage the blades. The mower uses the optional guide wire to find its way back to the charging station, but also find hard-to reach areas of the operating area. For example, the guide wire is laid between the charging station and a remote part of the working area or through a narrow passage. For narrow passages (less than 10 feet) or to shorten search times, a guide wire is recommended. Plan the location of the guide wire before laying out the boundary wire. Use the same cable roll for both the boundary wire and the guide wire. The guide wire, like the boundary wire, must be secured to the ground with pegs or buried. You would either have to use two units or physically move the unit to the secondary area when it needs mowing.

- Answer The mower works great on hills up to a 15% slope. But the boundary wires need to be placed on a less steep slope.

- Answer No. The mower requires the boundary wire. If you want to do it yourself Greenworks makes a battery powered self-propelled mower for half the price.

- Answer Hello C - The guidewire is used for a safe and quick return to the charging station The guidewire needs to be connected to the boundary wire in one end and to the charging station in the other end.

QuestionDoes it mow in a random pattern?

- Answer Yes. The optimow seems to go where it can within the boundary. There is no way to predict the pattern. If it encounters an object, it will stop and attempt to back away then go in another direction. The app allows you see stats on the optimow and be able to find it on the gps. When the battery gets low, it will find its way back to the base. the battery life seems good.

- Answer Hello Suresh - This unit is suitable for yards up to 1/2 acre. Setting up the boundaries is not overly difficult for most, however, it does require time to complete.

- Answer I have a VR80 Shotgun personally ;) It has 2 defenses the second someone picks it up it will beep loudly & send a message to your phone. It begins GPS tracking, There is a red bubble you can set on the phone, could not tell you what would happen if it exceeds that bubble.

- Answer I also have a 3/4 acre lot and had plenty of stakes and wire. You can buy extra wire if you need it. Yes the wire goes around all the objects you mentioned. If you have a hard vertical surface (e.g. planter made out of brick) the bumper on the mower will sense it and go around it. This mower is not trained through GPS.
