• Yes you can turn the system on and off as often as you'd like as far as turning the audio on and off I'm not sure you would have to look at the other settings I have always just left it on. You can always look into the other settings if you have the unit now just go in and hit other settings and look in there and see if it has anything about the audio to where you can turn it on or off or even possibly down I hope this helps you

• I can only answer the first question. Yes it can be manually turned off and on as needed or you can also set it on thru your smartphone to automatically turn itself on and off when you leave.
