• Yes, you can record phone call audio using the H6 recorder. You can feed the audio (from a phone) into the “line in” located on the XY capsule. However, it will only capture the audio from the other person on the phone. If you want to capture YOUR audio too, you must also connect a mic into one of the other XLR inputs of the H6 recorder and speak into it (while also speaking into your phone).

• If you can provide an analog signal of the phone conversation to the mic/line input, then yes. It is your responsibility to figure out a suitable interface to whichever phone you intend to use. Certainly with landline phones, it is quite easy.
