• A:Answer Yes, you can record phone call audio using the H6 recorder. You can feed the audio (from a phone) into the “line in” located on the XY capsule. However, it will only capture the audio from the other person on the phone. If you want to capture YOUR audio too, you must also connect a mic into one of the other XLR inputs of the H6 recorder and speak into it (while also speaking into your phone).

• A:Answer Any vocal microphone with XLR connection will work (you'll also need XLR microphone cables to connect the microphones to the H6, and ideally appropriate microphone stands rather than requiring the speakers to hold the microphones. For your application I would suggest dynamic microphones rather than condenser microphones. Anything similar to the classic Shure SM58 or AKG D5 would do well.

• A:Answer The answer depends on what kind of outputs your DJ has available. The Zoom gear has 4 XLR inputs in addition to the stereo mics. If you can take 2 Chanels of XLR out from the DJ, you should be able to input them here and do what you want to do.
