Yes, just wrap your own coffee blend in a paper towel an fold over to secure coffee grounds, works well, just figured out how strong you want it, remember it's only a cup. I started with one heaping teaspoon and added from there. Hope it helps

The machine uses pods. You could probably figure out a way to use your own coffee with a filter but otherwise just mix it in to your cup after heating.
