For best results, we would recommend a Hamilton Beach blender. Nut butters can be made successfully in food processors. However, the thick mixtures can challenge the motors of small food processors. For food processors of this size and motor type, we would recommend using roasted nuts verses raw nuts. Roasting draws moisture out of the nuts so the dryer nuts slice quicker. This allows the oils to be extracted and blended into a nut butter faster with less stress on the motor. Quantity of nuts will also affect the amount of processing time. We recommend processing no more than 3 cups of nuts at a time. If making nut butters is a primary task that you would like to use a food processor for, consider selecting a food processor with a more robust motor that can handle the tougher jobs.
