• It definitely isn't your cheap flimsy shield. I would say this shield is durable. If i were to scale it from 1-10, 1 being poor quality and not durable, and 10 being steel. This shield would be rated a 5.5-6. I had another shield which looked cheap and would bend at the gust of a wind. This shield would not break if you dropped maybe chip the color. Also it could probably withstand winds 40-55mph with out breaking or bending.

• It is definitely a harder material than plastic, and will be just fine for cosplay or skit purposes (I will recommend not throwing it like a boomerang, or using it to go fight Hydra though).

• Well, the plastic is probably durable but the paint job scratches fairly easy.
