Netflix recommends a connection speed of 5 megabits per second to stream high definition content, and a connection speed of 25 megabits per second to stream ultra high definition content. Standard wireless routers have a maximum connection speed of 54 megabits per second, so connection speed shouldn't be an issue when streaming via Wi-Fi, assuming the streaming device is within the effective range of the router.
