• Yes this TV has an optical out and you should be able to connect any sound bar that supports optical which most do or even connect through the HDMI with ARC

• We have a Samsung sound bar that has been working just fine with this TV. However, if you have another item, such as an Amazon Fire, plugged in as well, you will have to adjust the input on the sound bar every time you turn on the TV in order to get the HDMI to pick up correctly. It only takes a second and is worth it!
