hopefully you were able to resolve this. i have mine currently connected using the Optical port. The only reason i would suspect youre not getting sound is if your soundbar is not set to optical; the tv volume is not turned on OR you have a bad optical port. i hope its not the optical port, but my tv had a bad ARC port and they came and replaced it at no charge.
