QuestionMy windows is only 15 " wide, but it does slide up like a normal widow. Your "window kit" is designed for wider windows - can I cut the window kit to size to fit my narrow window? Or can I purchase a more narrow window kit?

- Answer The window venting kit that comes with the unit measures 26.6 inches. Since your windows are much smaller than this, you will need to modify the window venting bracket. This can be done simply by cutting it, at a local hardware store. QuestionI have a window that is 16.5" wide. I know the adapter fits a minimum of 26". Is there any other way to install this using that window or will I need to choose a different location?

QuestionI have a horizontal sliding window that is about 4ft off the ground. Would the hose be long enough and is the vent able to be used in a sliding window?

- Answer The exhaust hose included with the unit measures 1 foot and is extendable to 3.9 feet. If the unit does not reach the window, then you can raise it by placing it on a leveled surface. - Answer The window venting bracket that comes with the unit measures 26.2 inches. It can then be extended from 36.2 to 52 inches. The bracket can be installed both vertically as well as horizontally. The maximum height of the window need not exceed 52 inches for the bracket to fit well. QuestionMy windows in my bedroom need the venting kit to adjust to 33.5 inches. When I set it, part of the exhaust is covered. Do I need to have this custom cut? Are there spare parts that I can order so that I can move to another room if/when needed?

- Answer I would recommend it. We had the same issue; fortunately, I have a contractor doing some unrelated work and he took out some tools and made sure it had a good-sized opening. Don't know if there are spare parts, but cutting it didn't seem too much of an issue for my contractor (who's handy, while I"m not).

- Answer Our portable air conditioners need to be vented outside through an exhaust hose for the hot air to be let out. We recommend venting these units through a window using a window venting bracket or through a sliding glass door (the brackets are not included with the unit and sold separately). Venting the unit into an attic space may lead to gaps between the exhaust hose and window bracket and affect the cooling performance of the unit. - Answer Hello, when the Sleep Mode is activated in Air Conditioning mode, the set temperature will increase by 1°F or 1°C after the ﬁrst hour of cooling and will increase a further 1°F or 1°C after the second hour of cooling. The unit will maintain this temperature for 5 hours. The set temperature will then reduce by 1°F or 1°C on the seventh hour and reduce a further 1°F or 1°C on the tenth hour. Sleep mode will then deactivate automatically. - Answer Yes, it is possible to make the provided window venting kit work with casement windows. We recommend cutting a piece of Plexiglas to the size of your window, and cutting a hole for the window bracket panel adapter to vent the air outside.
