A:AnswerHi Matt, thank you for purchasing our Honeywell Portable Air Conditioner. The unit does not require any water to be filled. The water that drains out is the condensate (evaporated water). The built in dehumidifier removes excess moisture from the air which gets drained out. For any more questions, please feel free to contact our customer support team at 1-800-474-2147 between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm EST Monday through Friday. Thank you.
A:AnswerHi Brandy, the unit should always be upright. Laying the unit on its side will more than likely cause internal parts to become loose or damaged.
A:AnswerNo. It wouldn’t fit in a box if pre-installed. The exhaust ducting is high quality and expandable. It, and the window attachment were of high quality and easy to install. The expandable window attachment will work with almost any kind of windows and was well made and also easy to install. Everything fit together securely and easily.
A:AnswerPossibly. We vented ours through the floor into the garage (via the garage ceiling) and that works well. We used a standard 6" oval sheet metal pipe to be sure the vented air (which is quite warm) fully vents through the the inside floor and ceiling of the garage.
A:AnswerYes. You need to empty ac unit once in a while. I found it that it works better. It's supposed to let you know when it needs to be emptied but I did it b4 it told me to.
