“Multi zone & twin home installation I have two Rental units back to back in same building. the heating system for both units boiler system with baseboard radiator (no in floor) each unit has it own boiler furnace and base board and 2 zone each. I would like to control both units separately how many thermostat do I need and can this be done with Wi-Fi: (Note I have one Wi-Fi system for both units)”

On the Nest site you can input what kind of heating/cooling system you have and it would let you know if Nest is comparable or not. If it is, you need two Nest thermostats for 2 units or 4 for two units with 2 zones each (that if now each zone has its on thermostats, otherwise you would need only 2 Nest thermostats) , where two in one unit will connect to each other as one home 1, and two in the other unit as Home 2, they can be connected to the same network , but I think you should set them up as 2 pairs, 1 pair unit one, 1 pair unit 2, on the Nest app there is an option I think that lets you control two homes.
