QuestionDoes this unit rid a musty odor?

However, this will not get rid of the source, and will not pick up any hair and dander that has already landed on a surface. It will reduce the allergens in the air, but will not eliminate the possibility for the allergies to be triggered. QuestionDoes the indicator light work? we have been using ours for three months now and we are waiting forvthe prefilter to light but until now it does not. We read that prefilter should be change 1-3 months.

If you are not using the unit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the filter light will not come on after 3 months, but will take longer as the filter has not been fully used. QuestionJust purchased for my daughters dorm room.Windows do not open and air is quite stale in the room. Was not clear from the instructions on where to place the unit. I sat it on the window sill, which is behind her bed....nothing blocking around it. OK?

- Answer Yes. That is why we bought it. Of course, the air coming out of the purifier should not blow on the parrots. It works great with the dander and smells from our parrots.

To find out how much this will cost, multiple the wattage by 0.001, then the number of hours you are running the unit, and then the cost of electricity per kilowatt hour from your power company. - Answer What???? The carbon filter is black! If the hepa filter gets dirty that quickly, open up your windows. Also, get your furnace filter replaced! Something is very wrong with your air.
