• Albert, go out and get an inexpensive used smartphone or tablet. Think of it as a remote control. You don't need to have the phone activated to use it on your wifi network to control an increasing number of smart products. You could sit on your couch and adjust the temperature, turn lights off and on, see who is at your front door and control many other devices, and it's getting easier and easier to use and understand. However, if you are not willing to do that, this thermostat makes no sense for you.
