This is a Chromebook, that means this unit operates on Chrome OS which is very different than Windows and Mac OS, the only software you can download on this unit is applications from the Chrome Web Store, although.... the Google Play Store is coming to this Chromebook fairly soon, with that you will be able to install free apps like Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point which are free on the Google Play Store.

Microsoft Office 365 is available for free and is only available in "On-Line" mode. If you do not need the memory card installed all the time you will love the build quality of this laptop.
