A: This is a Chromebook, that means this unit operates on Chrome OS which is very different than Windows and Mac OS, the only software you can download on this unit is applications from the Chrome Web Store, although.... the Google Play Store is coming to this Chromebook fairly soon, with that you will be able to install free apps like Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point which are free on the Google Play Store.

A: I bought this same Chromebook for my parents this past Christmas and they told me the same thing! They have the volume on the highest possible and it's not very high at all. They have to use plug in earphones. Please let me know if you discover a resolution. Thank you.
