Q: QuestionI want this computer for school, light browsing, and games. The games I'd like to play on this is Roblox, Minecraft, The Sims 4, etc.. is this a good buy for me? I've seen so many mixed thoughts, I have no idea what to believe. </3

• A:Answer The only way you can use the Google Chrome browser on this HP laptop is to switch of S Mode. It is free and easy to do. Here are the instructions: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4456067/windows-10-switch-out-of-s-mode Once you switch out of S Mode, then you can download the Google Chrome browser and use it as your default web browser.

• A:Answer no, it's not much storage and it's lagged since day 1. i don't regret getting it because it was cheap and i needed it solely for the lockdown browser my school uses (my chromebook doesn't support it) and it's done it's purpose. if i didn't have my chromebook though, i would be very very very frustrated using it for other uses.

• A:Answer Yes, I installed Debian Buster and it installed no problem. The only thing on Debian is that it needed the latest kernel and Realtek firmware installed so I plugged in a USB Ethernet until I had the system fully complete. Everything worked fine after I installed the needed firmware. I'd imagine other distros are even easier.

• A:Answer you can, but you should consider a better browser. Chrome will drain your battery and clog your memory, whereas opera is great for battery, takes up less space, and offers more personalization (as well as a built in free vpn).

• A:Answer Hi, thank you for the question. Turbo Tax 2020 requires 1GB of storage and 2GB of memory, and the 14-dq0002dx laptop meets that requirement. In Windows 10 S Mode, downloads are only allowed from the Microsoft Store. If Turbo Tax 2020 isn't offered, an alternative would be to convert the operating system to Windows 10 Home (free, easy, and a non-reversible change) for more flexibility in downloading programs.
