• I have not experienced that problem and my machine is on almost 24/7

• Laptop computers get hot after long periods of use...My experience is that laptops will shut off automatically if the laptop bottom surface is dusty. Don't have any experience if the bottom surface was too hot....

• No, not any hotter than any other laptop. We have not had any problems with it shutting down.
