It does not come with Microsoft Office - you need to purchase that. It comes with some basic document editor and email, but I found the email VERY basic and not as good as outlook at all. It comes with a trial version of McAfee anti-virus.

If you or the user are/is a student (any grade/level), you can download the student version from Microsoft programs free as long as you're enrolled.
