Yes, right click on Start, select Control Panel, then select Mouse. Once in there you will see the disable option.

Please try again later.To start with, HP calls the touchpad the ClickPad Go to control panel, select hardware and sound, once there under devices and printers click on mouse. A small box (mouse properties) will open. Click on 'click pad' settings tab. Once there you will select 'click pad disable'. Another small box will open letting you know you are disabling the only active Synaptics pointing device, just click okay. Then click apply then okay. Just do the same steps again to reenable the pad.
