    • Answer Thank you for the question. This laptop does not have a CD/DVD drive, but you can connect an external CD/DVD drive via the USB port. Nearly all modern PCs lack disk drives.     • Answer Thank you for the question. Yes, the battery can be replaced and should be handled carefully. We suggest using a trained technician, such as Geek Squad. The RAM could be upgraded, however, the slot is not user accessible. It would be best to have the upgrade performed by a technician. HP does not recommend upgrading or downgrading hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product as It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance, however, you could change the configuration at your own discretion.

Microsoft has included a one-month trial of Microsoft 365, after which time you'll need to purchase a subscription. This laptop also includes free DropBox storage of 25GB for 12 months and 30 days of free McAffee LiveSafe.
