• Yes it will be compatible, and your Samsung(ambiguous) "drive" would probably also be compatible, you just need to install the correct drivers.

• I had the same issue with windows 10. The drive is compatible. I also had to reinstall windows 10 and The old drive work as well. So to answer your question, yes this is compatible. But try reinstalling windows 10 prior to purchasing that may fix the problem

• Yes -I am running 10. I put it in and then it found a driver it liked and all was good. You might check device manager and update your driver
