- Answer Bought HP XL + Tri Colors, printer was saying low ink after less than a 100 pages. Before I ordered this I bought an off brand that was compatible with HP it worked great for half the price, and I got an honest 400 pages (mostly color) out of it. I'm very disappointed in HP. I will not purchase again, its twice the cost for less printing.
