• Given that the processor is four or five years newer than the i3-6100, yes, it should be significantly better.

• This AMD runs fast, this computer is a good package due to it has 12GB RAM and a M.2 256GD SSD. This makes is pretty fast. The Intel is also good, but it depends on all the other components (RAM, storage, etc.). This computer is really good for working from home and general home computing. It is not really expandable so it is not a gaming computer.
