No one can answer this because 1) different types of games have different requirements. and 2) you can probably play most things at either lower resolution or lower graphics settings. Are you playing tic tac toe? One of the new shooters? If you want Microsoft Flight Simulator, you'll need to spend a lot more on a graphics card. But a card that costs more than the rest of the system doesn't make sense for this rig; anything that uses more power than a low profile card will require a power supply upgrade as well. Also, the B550A chipset probably won't age well--the io is the same as the B450 chipset. Personally, I will wait for a discreet card until there is one actually available, and upgrade the power supply and graphics card then--probably next summer. An rtx 3060 or rx 6700, or something of that sort. In the meantime, the system will probably be fine for older or less demanding titles. Later, a mid-range card using @ 150 to 200 watts can be covered by the 400W ps HP doesn't put into this system ( but it does put it in the systems it ships graphics cards with).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In factory spec light gaming. With an extra 8gb of ram you can run most mid level games like BO2 or titanfall with zero issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will depend on what games you want to play. Most games like Call of Duty require a dedicated/discrete graphics card. We recommend looking at the system requirements of the games you intend to play.
