Yes, you upgrade components such as RAM, processor, and power supply. You can also upgrade into the available expansion slots: Two PCI Express slots (1 x PCIe x16 and 1 x PCIe x1), M.2 socket for WLAN card; and M.2 slot for 2280 or 2242 M.2 solid state drive. Yes, i added a 16gb ram so now I have a total of 24gb. Huge difference. I also added a new video card Nvidia 1080 pc x16 slot. I also added a external blu ray drive. This computer has been awesome. So dependable. I can run about 9 programs at a time with the extra PNY 500 gb ssd with the OEM m2 solid state drive.
