QuestionHow low does this computer go down to cost-wise?I had an old laptop that is quite slow...in other words, I am looking for another one. I am only looking to play about 500 dollars. How low, on its best sale, does this go?

- Answer Save time and look elsewhere. You will NOT get this computer in that price range. I've always been in the $500 range for previous laptops, but I stepped up this time. With Intel i7, a 17" display and 16GB of RAM you are talking higher end, which in turn means higher price. During the holidays, with a sale, and then a one-day flash sale on it, I came in around $800. Since regular price was $1000 I couldn't pass it up, but probably wouldn't buy at the regular price. - Answer Only as an external. It is a slimline design. You could upgrade the SSD card to 1tg and partition it.

- Answer Yes, this laptop will accept a standard 2.5" SATA laptop solid state drive. I believe an m.2 NVMe SSD can be installed.

- Answer Yes you can. The button directly above the #5 (The f5 button ) button turns the lighted keyboard on or off. It has 3 little black squares on the key.

- Answer Follow up. You can still purchase this unit from Best Buy as of 8-2-2016. You have to order it via phone and they'll ship it to you. Good luck.

- Answer Good question. This laptop is a good choice for the HTC Vive. The HTC Vive requires at least an i5 processor and 4 GB of RAM, but this computer has more than the requirements. This laptop has an i7 processor (step-up from the i5) and 16 GB of RAM instead of 4 GB. It also has a dedicated graphics card for gaming. I hope this helps.
