I believe Bruce misunderstood the question. An SSD card is different from an SSD drive. The person is asking if there's a slot for a 2280 type SSD drive. M.2 or pCIE. An SD card is a memory card used in cameras which Bruce is talking about.

Second, you can't just consider the slot (physical connector or interface) on your motherboard. You also have to consider the protocol of the slot. If this laptop has a separate slot to add an SSD...great, it's 2018...it's probably M.2. If this laptop only has one slot for a HD, it's probably SATA III.

If you meant SSD, technically, yes, it has an internal bay for an SSD, but you'd have to remove either its current HDD or Optical Drive (DVD-Writer) to install one. If you meant a slot for an SD Card, yes, it has an external reader for Flash Memory (SD Memory Card). Its HDD interface is Serial ATA (SATA). PCI is old technology and replaced with PCI Express. The maximum RAM depends on the Operating System. This laptop has Windows 10 HOME, so it can address (point to) up to 128 GB of RAM. Windows 10 PROFESSIONAL and ENTERPRISE can address up to 2 TB. This laptop has 2 slots for memory modules. If you want to max it, you'd spend $2K and install 2 × 64 GB modules.
