QuestionIs the processing speed 1.8 gHz, or 2.8 gHz? Not sure if typo on specifications list.

- Answer As I understand it, this machine has a low-threshold processing speed of 1.8 GHz, but can comfortably be overclocked to 4.0 GHz. I've done a LOT of research on this model and I'm completely in love. The eighth generation i7 8550ou chip is apparently something to behold. Now, if I could ask a question in return - can this laptop be upgraded from 16GB to 32 GB of RAM? And if I choose to add, for example, a 250 GB SSD, can I dedicate it to the OS and all applications? Finally, can it be installed for me by The Geek Squad? And if so, how much (roughly) will it cost? If push comes to shove, I'll try to do it myself, but I'd rather not do any damage to such a beautiful machine, obviously. Thanks in advance.

- Answer The research I came up with is that it has two (2) internal SATA drive bays & one external optical DVD/CD drive bays. One of SATA drive bays has the 1 TB HDD (7200 rpm). The other can be loaded with an SSD if desired.

- Answer Yes, hit the Windows Key and the F5 Key simultaneously and it will toggle the keyboard back-lighting on and off. If the battery is low, this feature may automatically turn off when you go into low power mode...

- Answer Yes, this laptop can support 32 GB of RAM. The maximum RAM depends on the Operating System. Windows 10 HOME can address (point to) up to 128 GB of RAM. Windows 10 PROFESSIONAL and ENTERPRISE can address up to 2 TB. This model (AE) is specifically made for Best Buy, so you can't customize it. If you want to max the RAM for a laptop, you would customize with 2 x 64 GB modules and order on the HP website. Technically, it has 2 HDD slots because the Optical Drive (DVD-Writer) is a drive bay. You could replace it with another drive.

- Answer Yes, this combination should be excellent for editing videos and other CPU intense applications. You can add another 16 gb of RAM if needed and can change out the internal HDD for a SDD to make it blazing fast for rendering videos (and it's touch screen & will accept a digital pen). Hope that helps.

- Answer Yes. Look at the Caps Lock key and in the upper right hand corner you will see an LED indicator. And the indicators lights up when the caps are locked whether you have the keyboard backlights on or not. I don't have any trouble seeing it. Hope this helps.

- Answer Thank you for your question! There are many Type C port replicators available that will work for this computer. It does have an HDMI out so you could run one monitor out through that while another goes out from the type c!
