Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A better and more precise question is: what is entailed in replacing the battery? Consumer-oriented laptops like this one are not easy to access. An example of how involved it can be is my old Asus: you have to remove nine screws, which you must replace when finished in the exact same positions, since they are all of different lengths. Then you have to use a soft pry tool (credit card or guitar pick walks) to go all around the unit and carefully pry apart the sides. Then you have to carefully lift the bottom (there's very little wiggle room) and disconnect three delicate cables to get to the battery. The reverse is even more annoying, and don't even ask what you have to do to add RAM! On the other hand, I also have a slightly newer HP, made for business, and all you have to do is remove one screw and slide a latch, to get full access to the battery, RAM, WiFi/Bluetooth card, SIM slot, and two drives.
