QuestionNeed answer soon...will this printer print on card stock? Can I order it online with my Best Buy card and pick it up at my local store? I live in St. George, Utah and the store is in Washington, Utah. Does printer use same ink as Envy 4500?

- Answer Yes, it prints on card stock. you should be able to order on line with your card and pick up at nearest store, but I don’t live in your state?! It uses HP 62 ink cartridge

QuestionCan Wi-Fi, security code be changed? I had Brother that could be changed... A 1 time configuration isn't going to cut it.

- Answer If you're talking about your passcode to your WiFi network (router) being changed the answer is yes. You'll just have to go back through the network setup on the printer and on each device and reconnect each with your new passcode. Once your new passcode is entered on each device you'll print from go ahead and see if you can print. It should work just fine. If on a computer you may have to go into your start menu, printers and devices, and delete the printer, then readd it back by searching. Once you reconnect you should be ready and able to print.

- Answer Approx 17" by 17". If anything, a tad bigger. Remember, a pop-out paper tray opens automatically when printing, so it will be larger. I have mine in an armoir and always need to allow for that little tray (to push it in) when closing the doors.

- Answer I fuse fabric to freezer paper and it prints...I have to feed it one page at a time ..then it works fine...also print on cardstock one page at a time..

- Answer It uses 62 size cartridges. This printer also allows you to use the HP Instant Ink program, I highly recommend it as it will save you money each year instead of having to go out and purchase cartridges, go to https://instantink.hpconnected.com for more info

- Answer Yes, it can do duplex scanning and copying. It is not full duplex however.

QuestionHas anyone used this printer to print on 110lb Cardstock? I frequently use 8.5 X 11 inch 110lb. Georgia Pacific Card stock that I buy from Walmart to print on with my old printer. However I just ordered this printer but failed to check on the thickness

- Answer Yes, I have printed on the 110lb card stock. I do suggest that you have extra cards on top of any paper in the feed tray. I believe this assures a smooth feed through the printer.

Questionis the top tray used for only faxes? Or can it also be use for multiple copies. I don't plan on using this printer for fax. I debating on getting this one or the hp 5660. They are the same price so I'm not sure what's the difference besides faxes.

- Answer I bought the 5660 originally, had a small problem with it. They were going to exchange it for me but I asked the HP rep who happened to be in the store what was their best photo printer, she set me up with the 7640. I love this printer over the 5660, the screen, everything. I'm not sure about top trays yet, haven't tried them.

- Answer Ted; Good question. Yes, you should be able to use this printer to scan it, save it, and then INSERT it into Word as a picture. As for doing it directly, you will have to save the JPG as a picture first, then you can INSERT it into Word as a picture. Other than that, this is a solid printer. I'm sure you'll enjoy using it. Hope that helps.

- Answer The printer has ports in the back of the printer. Here are the ports that are back there: 1 USB 2.0 1 Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n 1 Ethernet 1 RJ-11 (Fax) You can remove the plugins to use the ports. I hope this helps.
