- Answer Hi Edgar, thank you for the question. The Envy 7858 will accept heat transfer paper up to legal size ( 8.5 x 14".). For A3 media (11 x 17"), you'd need a large format printer, such as the OfficeJet Pro 7740.

QuestionHow does this compare to the office inkjet 5740?

- Answer I have both. My 6+ year-old OfficeJet 5740 finally stopped being useful due to paper handling issues. The Envy 7858 looks like almost the same printer! There are a few software differences, and it takes different ink cartridges, but the outward appearance and general function are the same. I've only had it for a few weeks now, but I hope it lasts as long as my old OfficeJet did. See more info in my recent review.

QuestionCan the printer receive faxes throughout the day if left on while also allowing non-fax calls to be diverted to a separate answering machine? I have a HP 5255 Office Jet which did that but sadly fax mode has stopped working.

- Answer Thank you for the question. You don't need internet service. We might suggest that you connect the printer to your PC via USB to set up, and that will also enable you to use more of the features when printing from your SD card.

- Answer A standard USB-A port is located on the back of the printer, directly below the Ethernet port. The contents of the box includes a male-to-male USB A to B printer cable which can be used if you wish to connect the printer directly to your computer rather than via a WiFi or Ethernet connection. However, be aware that having a USB-only connection will prevent your printer from communicating with HP and you will not be able to have an Instant Ink subscription.

Touch Wireless Setup Wizard or Wi-Fi Protected Setup. 5. Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.
