“Hello, I want to use carbonite to place all my photos on this computer. Will carbonite "know" to use the 1 TB storage and not try to put them on the smaller SSD? Or will I have to constently move things as the SSD fills up? Thanks”

You can go to settings, system, storage, change where new content is saved. There you can select which drive new files and content will be saved and stored. Hope this helps.
