Hello, thank you for your interest in HP Desktop computers. This model can accept a discrete graphics card, however, the power supply on this unit is 180W 80+ Gold certified. So you will be limited to what type of discrete card you can use. This model on its current power supply should be able to power up to an Nvidia GT 1030 GPU. This Desktop PC has the L81008-800 - 180W power supply installed. This chassis can also use the L64961-800 - 310W power supply, and the connectors should be the same. I hope this helps you.
