I have seen the same thing on HP's website. I know doing this will probably void the warranty. Having said this, there are videos on YouTube showing how this can be done.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I put a ssd in as soon as I brought the laptop home. Easier than I planned. Unscrew bottom panel, use a plastic utensil with a thin edge to lift cover off clips and access the HD on the left side of the board. There's not enough cable to lift the drive out so you have to try to unplug the HD very carefully. Good luck!
