- Answer It will say that until you close cover. Just replace cartridges, then close cover and the note will go away.

- Answer Dear Anonymous; As with all HP products in 2018, expect a 1 year warranty. For $10 or so, you can purchase additional insurance through GeekSquad up to 2 years more, effectively covering your machine for 3 years. I'm not always into additional insurance, but if you feel a little bad luck coming, maybe it would be worth it. Best of luck.

QuestionDoes the scan bed support legal size paper? My HP8620 feeder never worked, so I must have a direct copy or scan ability on HP6978 if I'm going to buy it.

- Answer The depth of the printer is with the paper try in place but not extended. The paper try will extend another 4 or 5 inches.

- Answer There's a free app you can download from Play Store for Android devices: "HP All-in-One Remote". Just install and follow the prompts and tutorials. You can print photos, screenshots, documents, etc. I've had no issues using it, and found the app very simple and intuitive to use!

- Answer This will largely depend on what you're wanting to be able to print! The Photosmart series, which is what your C5180 belonged to, was great for home and photo printing purposes! As such, we'd recommend the Envy Photo series, specifically the 7855, to be a home/photo replacement. If you're doing less photos and need a great printer for home use, document printing, and more, then yes, the OfficeJet Pro 6978 is a great replacement model!

QuestionWhat are the differences between the 6978 and the 8715?

- Answer There are a few differences but those differences are very impactful. First, it is not really accurate to say that one is any better than the other. The 6978 is designed for a different amount of printing. The HP 8710 series printers are designed for heavy usage, if you think a ream of paper would last you 1-6 months then the 8710 is the printer I recommend. 4-9 months? The 6978. 6 months to a year or more? The OfficeJet 5255. Overall, the key differences between the 6978 and 8715 is the cartridge sizes (and yield) the speed, and the size. Those things all tilt in the 8710 series printers favor. But it is not good to get the larger printer just because its "bigger and better". By far the most savings comes in making sure you are not buying a printer with ink cartridges that are too big or too small. You dont want the ink to run out every few weeks or months and you certainly dont want all the ink you purchased drying out before you use it all!

- Answer Dear Ruezz; Yes, you can digitize pictures with this HP OfficeJet. By scanning the picture into your laptop or tower system, you would have a digital copy of your photo. It does an excellent job, no questions asked. So, go get yourself this model. You'll do fine. Best of luck.

- Answer There's no need to use a cell phone or app to operate this printer. It takes approximately 10-15 minutes to have it up and running. Simply follow the instruction to install the software, insert the ink and you are done.
